It is mainly about travel and football &#8211; the voyages of a groundhopper, or if you prefer, the rambings of a sad man who should never be let out of his anorak!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Meanwhile to welcome all friends to this world, the opening photograph is the entrance to the Stadion der Freundshaft &#8211; Friendship Stadium, which is in Frankfurt an der Oder, on the German-Polish border<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"image3\" style=\"width: 573px; height: 346px\" height=\"346\" alt=\"p6020444.JPG\" src=\"http:\/\/leohoenig.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/06\/p6020444.JPG\" width=\"573\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For anyone who does not know, the title &#8220;Football Shaped&#8221; comes from the track\u00a0 \u00a0&#8220;Senses Working Overtime&#8221;, from XTC&#8217;s 1982 Album &#8220;English Settlement&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>And All the World is Football Shaped<\/p>\n<p>Its Just for me to Kick in Space<\/p>\n<p>And I can See, Hear, Smell, Touch, Taste<\/p>\n<p>And I&#8217;ve got One, Two, Three, Four, Five&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Senses Working Overtime<\/p>\n<p>Trying to take this all in,<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve got One, Two, Three, Four, Five&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Senses Working Overtime<\/p>\n<p>Trying to taste the difference &#8216;tween the lemons and limes<\/p>\n<p>Pain and Pleasure<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;and the church bells softly chime&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 Good Day to you all, and Welcome to my blogs.
